I overbet the pot on the flop (say $2) and push the turn unless it's an A.
If this was $50+NL it'd play out differently of course, but here I think that's a standard play with a strong hand like that. |

river bet really looks like he can beat an overpair and wants you to pay him off and ill tell you why.
if you have AK he doesn't need to bet quite so much to get you to fold, and he probably knows this. what he probably isn't taking into account (given the stakes you're playing) is that you know he knows this, so he probably won't be betting the full pot on a bluff (it's just too expensive because you are probably only folding high card hands once you check the turn). he knows you probably either have an overpair or nothing. so if he has no hand he will bet so that you will fold AK/AQ. if he can beat an overpair he'll bet as much as he thinks you'll call (the full pot). he is most likely not trying to get you to fold an overpair. something to keep in mind. |

If you thought he had the flush on the turn, why did you call his river bet? If you thought he was bluffing, why didn't you raise?

anyone else think i should move in on the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Just to be clear I'm not advocating pushing the turn here...only if you overbet the flop. And only at these limits. In this case I check the turn, fold the river. |
