I am considering a jump to $5-$10 (currently $2-$4/$3-$6).
I had decided to learn to 8 table (I currently 4 table easily, and just got the 2 monitor set up). With the new party rule change, I have decided to make my jump to higher stakes and continue 4 tabling, instead of adding more tables at the lower limits. I have rakeback (100%) on myself from my main site, so the rakeback should jump considerably (even more so if I 6 max it) I have the bankroll (over 300 BB). I am lookiing for any advice anyone might like to share, or lead me in a direction. Let me know what to expect so to say. at what point do you guys move down a level if running bad or not beating the game? Should I give myself say 200 BB to loose before I move down...less? any help is greatly appreciated thanks |

Your skill level, and comfort at the higher stakes is way more important than any of the factors you mentioned. Taking a shot and capping a loss is a good idea.
It'll let you get a feel for the level and evaluate your game w/ out much risk. |

There is absolutely no reason to move up in stakes and 4 table at the same time. I am TOTALLY FOR multi tabling. But when you move up you need to kind of start over. You need to be paying attention, 1-2 tables max for at least 1-2 weeks.
Just ask this question before attempting to move up. If I tried and lost all the money I had set aside to move up, would it still be ok? If the answer is yes go ahead. Under no circumstances do the opposite. Best of luck. There is no reason to rush this. A great side effect of this is you always have something to loop forward to - the 3rd table, the 4th, etc. Just add them slowly and regularly as long as everything looks in order. |
