If you want to be able to play 4 tables with no overlap, you need to get a monitor with 1600/1200 resolution. This monitor will have plenty of overlap.

The Dell 2001FP is the most popular monitor for poker playing.

Anyways, this seems to be a pretty average deal as it is. Wait around for something better.

Frys regularly sells 19-inch monitors that will let you play 4 tables at once without overlap for around a hundred bucks. I'd wait for a sale to get one of those, personally. I'm on two of them now, and it's great. I'd never play on a 17-inch monitor, or do anything else on one.

Typically I only play two tables at time. I've got a dual monitor set up. I'll be playing two games (with overlap) on one and "working" (LOL) on the other. The fact that I need two units made the $189 price look good. I've never seen a 19" LCD for $100. Am I missing a deal somewhere?

He meant a 19" CRT that has 1600x1200 resolution. It's a cheaper alternative to the 2001FP.

How bad can 1280x1024 be?

Im currently 3 tabling on 1024x768 and its not best but manageable (only 0.5/1 though) 4 tabling is too much though

My laptop screen is 16" with 1280x1024 resolution... and I much rather plug in cheap 19" CRT to get 1600x1200 resolution if I want to play more than two tables..

I 4 table on 2 17" LCD's at 1280 X 1024. 2 on each screen. There is about 3/4 of an inch overlap, but you don't miss any action.
