I think the Suns +9.5 is fine, but am cautious about the Miami side. If you're teasing the line, I prefer the Det -0.5 side. I just feel Det will win the game, with the small possibility of locking them down and blowing them out.

See the Det-Mia and Pho-SA threads for more complete analysis and discussion on the games.

I've listened to Stern since he first came on in NY in '83. I used to come home from HS and sit in front of the radio for hours. I even won a "Howard Stern Radio Network" baseball jacket back in '84. Never wore it. Probably worth, oh, $12 now.

Anyway, the preamble is to lead into the excuse as to why I really haven't been listening lately. I finally have gotten tired of the show. And I got XM, and it's awesome. So the combination of the two means the answer is "no".

So, what I could have answered in one word, I did in 200. I like myself. A lot.

I've already put my thoughts up about the lines, as you've apparently seen ... but if it was me I would have gone the other way on both of them, especially the Phoenix one. When you have 2 teams that can put up a ton of points, the likelihood that one will win by a sizeable margin like 9 or 10 points is not that nuts. Conversely, Phoenix has yet to beat San Antonio when San Antonio is healthy. I see absolutely no reason why this trend should end with the series moving back to San Antonio.

Also remember that Phoenix will be in foul mode at the end of the game if they are down between 5 and 15. So there will be ample opportunity for San Antonio to increase a lead and turn what was a close game into a not-so-close game.

I think SA wins a close one, as Phoenix will be in desperation mode ... but I took the side of SA squeaking by over Phoenix covering 9 1/2.

lot of good reasoning there. im not trying not to look at the game through rose colored glasses, especially since I've already placed my bet.
