I caught a 108 lb pink snapper last week, fishing is very hot right now down here. On a more serious note i think you should go to b.c.! forget ontario, there is a salmon run in late july through late august of pink salmon, they only come every other year and i had the time of my life in 2003 catching them. Three or four per hour and awesome fighters can use a fly rod or a regular rod, the fish are anywhere form 4-15 pounds each.

a 108 pound snapper? no shiit?

not joking here. that's amazing. i used to fish a TON as a child and teenager and i don't think i have ever heard of a snapper that big. i grew up in florida so maybe it is the warm waters, but 108lbs? !!

damn, that's sweet

ive never fished for salmon before... mainly because there arnt any salmon fishing ops in the midwest outside of the great lakes... plus stream angling tends to be more pricey. that being said... i would love to do it one day... but id rather give greyling a try first

hey cubs - this year I'll be at the beach in late june but next year is a possibility.
I was doing sort of an an annual fishing trip to Idaho but since my buddy that lives out there got married he's not into fishing that much anymore. I have heard that Canada has got some decent fishing though, and my wife would be happy to get rid of me for a week.
