Default Getting $$$ to Vegas

Heading to Vegas next week and I'm trying to figure out the cheapest, safest and most convenient way to bring money. I will have about a $10K bankroll and don't want it dedicated to one casino. I don't want to rely on checkwriting b/c of bad experiences. Anybody have any good ideas about how best to do this?

You should have no problem bagging anything less than 50k and just bringing it with you and putting it in your hotel saftey deposit box. Heck I have heard of alot of people just carrying 100k or 200k on the plane with them like its no big deal. 10k Is not a big deal to carry to vegas.

the first two post are exactly what I do also. If you dont like this idea you could always open a bank account with a local bank over the internet and just transfer the money to them.

By 'how to get money to vegas' standards $10k is chumpchange. Like others have said I would just carry it. In 100s it wouldn't even be too much to stick in your pocket.

If theft/loss is your concern I imagine changing it to travellers checks would provide more security, but frankly I doubt its worth the trouble of changing it and then cahnging it back.

Anyway, if you're worried about losing the 10k don't take it to Vegas!

Options:

1) $100 bills (10k is alot, but it's been done before...I've gone about that high)

2) Travellers checks...minimize the risk, bring 4 or 5 grand in cash, the rest travelers

3) Wire the money to the Bellagio (call the casino and ask the cage for instructions). Banks charge about 15 for this, but the B. will wire your money back to your bank gratis at the end of your trip (or cut you a check).

if you are going to carry $10,000 to Vegas do it in style. get it all in $1 bills and bring a big briefcase full of money.

otherwise just wire it to the casino. believe me, the casino will make it easy for you. plus you should set up your comps when you wire the money.
