Default UTG First hand after bubble. All-in with what hands?

$30+3 rebuy tournament at Party last night. Top 70 get paid, everybody has been playing cautiously. This is the first hand after the 71st player has been eliminated, so two players have just been added to make a full table. Blinds are 2000/4000, your stack is 13400TC, every stack except two at the table are at 16000TC and below. Both blinds have approx. same size stacks as you. Everybody has been playing very tight for a long while.

You are UTG, and next hand you will have to pay the Big Blind. How good does your hand have to be to go all-in here?

I'm surprised that most people said they needed broadway or better. The player has about 3xBB - play anything that is slightly better than a completely random hand like 74o or 93o. You'll probably get better or no worse when you pay the blind anyway. 98o or 76s will totally due - if everyone's short stacked and has been playing real tight, you may even win the blinds here. If you get called, you're probably at least 30% or 40% to more than double up.

Interesting... I figured I might be positive to push in on any two, since people would only call me with a premium hand. I had Q5o, I got called in the cutoff by AKo, who had me covered by about 250 chips and I doubled up when the 5 paired and nothing else did. But several people at the table thought my play was ludicrous. If I assume there is a 50% chance I get called, and 30% chance I win when I do get called, then my play is still positive EV.

with the whole table this short, there is no way you get called 50% of the time. I would probably change that to 80% plus.
