Nice coup, but next time fold fifth, especially since you don't have enough money in front of you to see your little charade through.

There is a mathematical advantage to being all-in, and this can make it advantageous in a one-way game. If you're in a good high-low stud game, though, and you play well, you're costing yourself too much by being short-stacked. You have a lot of opportunities to put people through the wringer, and since a good player will be the wring-or a lot more than he is the wring-ee, he is best advised to keep enough in front of him to jam every street if the need arises.
