Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop
He either has a flush draw or the 3rd 6. Either way I am going all-in here to protect against a flush draw and if he has the 3rd 6, so be it. Fire up another one and it is back to business as usual. late.

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop
Check turn, your not getting any real value out of a bet. Clearly, you are either beat by a better ace or he is folding turn. See how he reacts on river. If its not a club, see if you can pick off a bluff of his, and of course if a J Q K rivers, id call his bet unless you feel your beat. Pushing turn is baaaddd you have no idea if he has a 6, AJ, A 10, etc .. protect what? the small pot?

Why did you raise the flop? [/ QUOTE ] i read his weak bet as a pocket pair. i raised for information. if he had a pocket pair (besides AA or 66), he would probably fold. if he reraised, i put him on the 6, and insta-fold. i still have over 10BB. |

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop
I mean if you check turn, and he missed his hand, or never had one for that matter, he might stab at river. Its a likely spot. Im not suggesting you ALWAYS call down here, but if you think you spot a bluff from his busted draw, you could call..
He raised flop for information and free card if necessary- which is exactly what he got so I like that play. |

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop
Villain bet ~50 and called your healthy raise. Then checked the turn. I put him on one of two hands...a vulnerable ace or a flush draw.
One the turn I'm firing another ~150 and if I'm called I'm praying a king hits on the river to help me split the pot. |

Re: $55: A2 on A669 board and checked to me after my pot raise on flop
The only reason I would have raised this flop is so that I could check it down or call a small bet on the river.
