I remember an AC post in which he condemned the UTG raising of 99... Don't get him started on 88.

I dont raise 88 but I raise 99.

88 has a lot less favourable flops, I think paying extra is fruitless.

AC,

I think the flop raise could go either way, since you have a caller in between. But I understand your thinking on the blinds playing at you.

I think with two opponents a turn check is in order. They will put you on overcards and you can raise the river if you hit a str8.

FWIW I have been raising this UTG most of the time.

I think you have to fold this river. I can't imagine you ever being good here. Also, with a bet and a call before you on the flop, I consider folding the flop. But I tend to be too tight.
