Default new pokerroom feature

i don't think it's been mentioned on here, and it really isn't related just to SNG's, but pokerroom.com has a new feature that shows the percentages when players are all-in. works for their sng's and multi-table tourneys. not worth switching sites for, but might be worth checking out if you haven't seen it, as it's pretty darn cool.

You mean when no one has chips left to put in and the cards get turned up, it shows the percentages of each player?

Kinda don't like that at all. I hate for people to start realizing the terrible plays they are making.

yeah, once someone is all-in and the cards come up, the percentages are shown (and the percentages adjust on each street). i'm not too worried about players realizing how bad they're playing. they know they aren't favorites when the cards come up most of the time anyway. they say it was bad luck and keep doing it.

But people will start to realise that K6 vs Q5 isn't dominating and it's only a few logical steps from there to agressive bubble play. I really hope Party don't try this.

Yes, and they added an annoyingly long 'dramatic pause' between each street....

I really hate that 'dramatic pause'.

I don't have the sound on, but I guess there's a drumroll too

It's like on TV now and I think most sites will add that feature.

Your about two weeks behind for up-to-date news, but its ok.

So far ive noticed no difference between players since the introduction. If anything, people make less bonehead calls with QJ cos they now know my K2 is better.

This is all short term, who knows long term. I dont think it will make much difference like i thought when it was first introduced.

I think you guys are way off. They show the percentages on television, and the average player doesnt seem to learn much from it. But the average recreational losing player will be very entertained by these features and the added "drama". And that means more traffic, more losers, and more $$ for us.

I think in the future the sites will add voice chat, computerized commentators, maybe even webcam, to add to the recreational experience. I think its nice that our business partners are investing in our future for us.
