Re: tell us an obscure movie you absolutely love...
[ QUOTE ]
Fandango - 1984 film starring a young Kevin Costner (who I otherwise dislike) and Judd Nelson that I am partial to. Great choice. [/ QUOTE ] i knew there must be another Fandango fan out there somewhere. The last 10 minutes just get me every single time. Haven't watched it in awhile....might pop it in the VCR tonight (you guys remember VCR's, right??) |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Wages of Fear [/ QUOTE ] this is a classic and not at all obscure. Great movie, though. [/ QUOTE ] I'll bet that 99% of OOTers have not seen it. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but that's not saying much. |

If "The Seventh Seal" is obscure, then I recommend it.

Re: tell us an obscure movie you absolutely love...
"Seven Days in May"
Fredric March plays the role of the U.S. president, who has reached a low in his popularity, but manages to get a nuclear disarmament treaty through the Senate. Burt Lancaster stars as a popular member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his mad obsession with, and fear of a Soviet nuclear attack finally turns him against the president and leads him to a plot to overthrow the government. Kirk Douglas also stars as a lower ranking officer who learns of the plot and must find a way to try and dismantle the scheme. It's an old black and white movie (1964), but it's a very well made drama. |

Re: tell us an obscure movie you absolutely love...
i was always of the opinion that threads such as these normally became meaningless crap when elitist film snobs came in and declared everyone else a moron for having better things to do than sit around and watch black and white subtitled slovakian movies.

Psycho Beach Party-Spoof of 1960's Beach Party/Gidget surfing movies mixed with slasher horror films.
It's amusing. |

Re: tell us an obscure movie you absolutely love...
Neither an even halfway bright or on point thing to say -- not even clever -- but damn, it must have felt good saying it!
I hope you've released the terrible pressure! And welcome to OOT. You'll fit right in. |
