Default KQ Hand - question

Party 50/5
50 or so ppl left (top 80 in the make to the money)
avg stack around 12k
Hero with big stack on table @29k - raised 2 or 3 times in the last 3 orbits since moving to this table.
table seems tight at this point
blinds 750/1500

Hero is dealt KQ (off) UTG + 2 position, UTG and UTG+1 both fold

Hero raises to 3k (how's this raise assuming all others on table is around avg stack of 12k)

CO reraises to 6.1k (10k remaining)- he has been relatively quiet, smells like a big pair. all folds to hero.

What's hero's move here?
1) fold and maintain the big stack
2) call for the 3.5 to 1 odds to see the flop - with intentions to fold on the flop if nothing or ace hits, and check raise allin if k or q shows on flop w/o an ace
3) others..

thanks in advance.

I would fold.
I can't see villain not pushing any hand but AA,KK with only 10XBB against a loose raiser.

Unless you've seen him make a similar move previously, this smells way too much like AA to hang around. He's begging for a call here. Don't oblige.

Now if he tries that crap again, and hopefully you have a pair or ace high next time, you might consider pushing to show you're not his bitch.
