Re: $750 off $1499+ Inspirons

[ QUOTE ] just got a 700m with all the trimmings for $880 incl. tax [/ QUOTE ] Me too - good system ya think? I'm already regretting getting it instead of the 6000 since I don't travel much. [/ QUOTE ] It's actually for my girlfriend...she of course wants the tiniest cutest laptop she can get... Personally I'd have gone with the 9300 17" WUXGA |

Great, that's what I wanted to hear
Can you get a bigger display for it somehow? |

Re: $750 off $1499+ Inspirons
Anyone getting the 9300? It has a 17 inch display...what kind of res does this get? Why are people opting for the 6000 instead when the 9300 has a better display?

There are always Dell Coupons available for $750 off Inspirons $1999 or more. Thus, the deal is really only exceptional if you are going to buy one of the "cheaper" models. |

Re: $750 off $1499+ Inspirons
Well, If I get the 6000...what display should I get? What resolution options do the three different options have (WXGA, WSXGA, WUXGA)?

It is not something that you would want to be lugging around with you very often. That baby is made to sit on your desk and stay there. The 6000 seems like a decent size that will still be transportable. It will be my choice (a WUXGA one) when I pick up a new laptop this fall. my 2 cents busguy |

Re: $750 off $1499+ Inspirons
I 2nd what busguy says... the 9300 is a beast while the 6000 will travel well. The 9300 has a 17 inch monitor while the 6000 has a 15.4. If you get the WUXGA Display for either monitor it will have a resolution of 1920 x 1200 which is plenty good for 4 tabling. Its really a trade off... do you want the bigger monitor or do you want a computer that will travel better... there are a few other differences also but these really wont effect you if the primary purpose of the computer is poker....

Re: $750 off $1499+ Inspirons
Yeah I ordered the 9300 this morning, but I'm wondering if I should have got the smaller one. I'm terrible at making decisions. Does anyone know if they will let me switch my coupon over if I call them and tell them I want to switch to the smaller one?

[/ QUOTE ] Well, I can't help you make better decisions, but I have seen both the 9300 and the 6000, and I will be purchasing the souped-up 9300 when I can take $1500 out of my bankroll. In my eyes, you made the right choice. |
