here's a couple

Fear of a black hat, i don't know how obscure this is but i think i've met 2 people besides me who have seen it. It's a mocumentary about rap groups.

Puddle Cruiser - it was done by broken lizard the guys who did super troopers, i have only seen it once or twice but it was good

kentucky fried movie - someone already mentioned this but it deserves repeating

Now 10 Rillington Place is extremely obscure, for sure.

And very creepy. Not all in a good way either, heh. Definitely not a date movie.

Sci-fi Parody, "Dark Star" -- hilarious, not great filmmaking but very very funny

I came here to post this.

It was actually on a tiny budget, so the filmmaking is pretty good too given what he had to work with.

I think Pi definitely qualifies.
It's a top 10 favorite film for me and I really should have included it in my first post in this thread.

Requiem for a Dream (2005 mentioned) probably does not qualify though imo.

Suicide Kings shouldn't qualify. I saw parts of this YET AGAIN on basic-cable (I think FX) just a couple weeks ago.
I also don't think it's THAT good but nothing else was on.

sfer - I remember you mentioned the 13 convo's movie to me before and I have been meaning to track this down but haven't gotten around to it.

If you like slightly darker humor and also are looking for an Office Space type film then see Clockwatchers.

The idea of working in a hideous, life-less job is similar to office-space...except it's chicks instead of guys.

Pi isn't quite obscure. It only came out a few years back and got loads of publicity.

We're starting to get people doing the usual for these threads -- just throwing in what they liked from the last few years.

Another vote from me for La Haine, an incredible piece of filmaking. In fact, I'm gonna stick it on right now
