Re: Hijack alert!!
Yes, Spoonger.
An online tournament would definitely be the best way to show who is better because in an online tournament the best players always win, and because there is absolutely no variance in an online tournament with shallow stacks. -Jason |

Re: Are you a better poker player than the average 2+2er?
I'm sure that I am below average since I am barely beating the Party Poker 0.50/1 game.
You may find the article "Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments" by Justin Kruger and David Dunning of interest. Here's a link: http://www.phule.net/mirrors/unskilled-and-unaware.html |

Re: Are you a better poker player than the average 2+2er?
I have no idea what the average 2+2er is like. I don't know what limit he plays, I don't know if he plays limit/NL/STT/MTT. I don't know if he is a winner or not (though I suspect he is much closer to being a loser than public perception on the forum).
So not even close to sufficient data to answer this one. |

Re: Are you a better poker player than the average 2+2er?
I'm a consistent winner at 5/10 short, 200NL, and $50SnGs (I've won at lower limits too). I'm also a consistent winner at live games for 10/20 limit and $300-$500NL. I've been playing poker for about a year and a half. If you had asked me this question six months ago I'd say no but I've improved alot.
Based on the limits I'm beating and the fact that I believe most 2+2ers are still playing 3/6 or less (probably even micros and not all are winners I think I can claim "above average" status. |

Time to break up the party and go home, nothing to see here anymore thanks to Jason. |

Re: Are you a better poker player than the average 2+2er?
I said no. I find myself reading threads and having an opinion of the correct play, only to find that several others have suggested a different strategy that does in fact make more sense. I would imagine that most of the people who replyed "yes" still have a lot of work to do before them become better than the average, especially the average contributing member of this forum.

Re: Are you a better poker player than the average 2+2er?
I had the worst day of my poker career today... is there any way to change my answer?
