ppairs at party
Does anyone else think that pocket pairs seem to turn up a lot at party?
Seems like people are turning up pocket AA or other high pairs frequently? |

Re: ppairs at party
I've played there enough(20,000+ raked games) to feel confident that their shuffle is legit. Why don't you start keeping tabs of these occurences and report back to us when you have figures of statistical significance. Maybe after 5-10 thousand hands?

Re: ppairs at party
They no longer show pocket cards in their hand history, so it won't be possible to check for random distribution in the future. I, too, like to get several thousand hand histories when I first start playing on a site to check the distribution.
Anybody else notice that the posts here lately regarding Party are pretty much all negative? What happened? New management? |

Re: ppairs at party
I have PokerTracker with 65,000+ hands. My "expected" number of pocket pairs is about 3,840, I've gotten 3,904, certainly well within expected range. My "expected" occurrence for each pair is about 295, here are the totals:
AA - 310 KK - 275 QQ - 322 JJ - 325 TT - 300 99 - 301 88 - 279 77 - 268 66 - 313 55 - 292 44 - 321 33 - 288 22 - 310 |

Thanks Jim
Thanks for all the replies -
I actually like party - guess I just ran into a strange string of cards - Pocket AA twice in a row and lots of other high pairs at our table. I realize this is not statistically significant but being new to the site - I found it strange - maybee should just be happy with great cards. Sam |
