Top Two fold on Turn
My first live limit session. After observing the tables, I feel very comfortable sitting down. Very loose game with most flops are seen by >3 players commonly for more than one bet.
UTG has played poorly, UTG+1 has raised, bet flop and called 4th and 5th to non-threatening boards w/AA twice. Three Limpers, I raise in SB w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, other limper folds. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, call, call. Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, UTG Raise, UTG+1 Calls, I fold. River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG Bets, UTG+1 Calls. How bad was the fold? |

How bad was the fold? [/ QUOTE ] Quite bad. The chances your hand is best now (pretty good) plus the chances you'll draw to a full house on the river (4 outs) make a turn call (or 3-bet) mandatory. If your read is fairly certain that your opponent won't make this play without a flushor straight, just check-call the river. But you really shouldn't be folding this turn. |

Re: Top Two fold on Turn
eek...i think you should be debating whether to smoothcall this or 3-bet...but fold not good...there's a very good chance someone spiked a lower two pair or even just wanted to slowplay top pair. Especially if this game is as loose as you say, you can't fold

Re: Top Two fold on Turn
Even if one of them showed you his flush/straight, you are getting 10.5:1 to call. You'll fill up about that often, and gain some bets when you do. Plus you'll beat any lower set if that's what he has. Fairly easy call.
