So the greatest poker players in the world at best and I mean best are 5 times better than the average player in the field, combined with there being 6600 players expected this year and I am supposed to bet on someone at anything less than 1000-1. I mean I could even understan as a lark making Daniel N at 200-1 or something, but this is just sad.

You can tell this is an english site because they have given the European pros some insane odds right up there with America's best.

Who is going to put any money on James Sousa at 40 to 1?

I don't think I would take most of these bets at 400 to 1.

These oddmakers found a way to make keno and the big wheel look like decent games.

Who figures out that crap?

Tony Ma is as good as the ones who were 20-1
I think I'd take him over Toby Mcguire any day...

lol.

Do these guys think there are going to be 600 players this year instead of 6,000?

(amazingly...most of these bets would be pretty bad even with only 600 players in the field...although this was already pointed out by someone in a different way...but I like looking at it this particular way for someone reason)

With a field this large I think the chances of some previously unknown online qualifier getting lucky and taking this thing are just as good as Phil Ivey's for instance.

But there are more of them and 1 of him which would make that a + EV bet and Phil a HUGE - EV bet.
