I did check behind on the river mainly because he confused me with his play.

I won the hand but since its Prima, I didnt know what he had until I just now got the hand history.

This fool had AJ of hearts. He had no pair and no draw and bet twice and called 2 raises. Maybe he would call a river all in with ace high? LOL

I got a guy to call a slight overbet on the river with ace high the other day in a decent-size pot. (The pot was a decent size thanks to him check-calling the flop following his preflop raise.)

I don't think I have ever in my life seen a boat played in this manner ... if he traps you with a bet, hats off to him.

Actually he is 100% correct. It doesn't seem plausible that a bet here is a +EV move. There just aren't a lot of hands villian is calling or check-raising with that our hero has beat. A bet here seems like a needlessly high variance play.
