I feel like I played this hand okay but I would like some advice from others. I'm chalking this one up to just one of those hands.
So far I've played pretty tight. Villain is same villain when I had QQ hand. I would also like to know why the verbal insults followed. It seems like whenever I'm at table people get some enjoyment out of seeing me lose money. Not sure why because I hadn't said a word on this table. I was bit shocked to hear the guy next to him start to say some [censored]. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter MP2 ($17.47) MP3 ($6) Hero ($21.55) Button ($14.4) SB ($37.68) BB ($10.9) UTG ($41.4) UTG+1 ($47.35) UTG+2 ($26.4) MP1 ($16.65) Preflop: Hero is CO with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1. UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, UTG+2 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, 1 fold, BB checks. Flop: ($2.10) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (8 players) BB checks, UTG bets $2, UTG+1 calls $2, UTG+2 calls $2, MP1 folds, MP3 folds, Hero raises to $5, Button folds, BB folds, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $3, UTG+2 folds. Turn: ($16.10) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero pushes all-in(16.30), UTG+1 calls $16.30. River: ($32.40) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Final Pot: $32.40 followed by this guy saying. "ha" "killed him" "that's what you get" Then I asked him why he cared if I loss money ? Then I asked him if they were working together . I hadn't said a word on this table so I was bit confused as to why he gave a [censored]. Villain showed 9 9 I don't think the guy next to him knew I had a set of 3's and so he was pissed that I raised on the flop or something. I don't know. I played for like 2 hours but because of this hand, I ended up finishing down $10 for the night. I mean WTF. |

i somehow didn't look at the author of the thread...I SWEAR
and i saw the line: [ QUOTE ] I played for like 2 hours but because of this hand, I ended up finishing down $10 for the night [/ QUOTE ] Do you copy and paste this line from all your posts? You are always bemoaning your win/loss for the day. Concentrate on what pots you're losing and why and why/if you don't get more out of your big winners. |

Your flop raise is horrible.

Very tricky hand.
*You're so pot committed by the turn so if you bet you virtually have to call. *You have no real reason to suspect you're behind. Still, a push will most likely only get called if you're behind. A smaller bet would be interpret as weakness and reraised and you have to call. By checking you give the pot up. I dunno what to do. |

[ QUOTE ]
Still, a push will most likely only get called if you're behind. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. In .10/.25 NL, JT, J9, T9, are all calling that and even A J . Also, how often am I behind on the turn here ? If KQ or 78 called that $3 raise he basically has to make like $21 after he hits his draw for it to be profitable which I don't have so I felt pushing was a good option. I actually did think about this before pushing. I'm rarely up against 99. I can't bet half my stack here and then fold on the river. |

Would anyone ever fold this hand on the turn after raising big on the flop (bigger than me of course) ?
