Default The 7K Check-up

Hi folks,

Well due to computing difficulties, my PT can't collect any more statistics for now. While I'm waiting to migrate my database to a new computer and start collecting more data on my play, I figured I'd alleviate some boredom and try to get some stat analysis from all you good people

Quick player summary: Started playing real money almost a year ago. Been pretty much break-even. I have my ups, and downs, but feel like I've only remained at a steady plateau until recently. I don't think I play as much compared to some die-hards. I own all the classics, try to study them from time to time: started w/ WLLHE, then SSH, read Internet HE for spot quizzes. Just got Getting Started in Hold'Em (great book, Ed!).

I think I have good pre-flop starting requirements (WLLHE taught me that and the SSH chart) but I feel lost on post-flop play at times (overcards, protecting hands, etc.). Will try to post hands (when I am able to).

This is from 7000+ hands. Roughly two thirds of my play is at the .50/1 level, the other third is .25/.50. Figures below are combined averages.

VPIP 19.87%
PFR 7.43%
VPIP/SB 34.00%
WSD 32.48%
WSF 29.85%
W$SD 51.46%
AF 2.78 (is this right? got this total from 'more detail' button in PT)
Win +3.25BB/100 (+1.58 at .50/1; +6.63 at .25/.50)
SD (don't know how to get my standard deviation/100)

Oh yeah, standard disclaimers. Too small sample size, yeah. I know. Post hands. Well, I play exclusively at Pokerroom since I'm a Mac user, and the converter's still broke for Pokerroom .

One final thing--I have to get this out. Got my first royal flush tonight. ON THE FLOP, too. YEE-HAW.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, will be appreciated! Thanks all!

Just checked the numbers:

[ QUOTE ]
PFR 7.43%

[/ QUOTE ]
Could be higher.

[ QUOTE ]
VPIP/SB 34.00%

[/ QUOTE ]
A little too high, even at .5-1 I believe.

[ QUOTE ]
W$SD 51.46%

[/ QUOTE ]
A little too low.

[ QUOTE ]
AF 2.78 (is this right? got this total from 'more detail' button in PT)

It's correct and it looks really nice

[ QUOTE ]
SD (don't know how to get my standard deviation/100)

Session notes -> More details
It's not of any use unless you're planning to calculate your true WR.

The numbers I complained about isn't far off from being good and just liek you said, it could change with your sample size. PFR is what you need to work with.
Good luck!

Your PFR is okay but could be better. At 7.5%, you're making all the "automatic" raises, but you're missing blind steals, isolation plays, etc. You're probably open-limping in MP3 and beyond. You should be able to get this up to ~9% or so easily.

Very constructive post. And numbers as VPIP and PFR can be analysed from only 7k hands...
