Re: Preflop steal with Q9 gone wrong - continue on flop?
And I call with all my hands because even in the worst case where I think I have only 6 outs (QT no spade), there are so many chips in the pot and my tournament EV will at least quadruple if I win this hand, and I'm going to expect that hero will be pushing with all his speculative hands too.

Re: Preflop steal with Q9 gone wrong - continue on flop?
AA-99, AKs-A9s, KQs, AKo-ATo, KQo makes q9 about a 3:1 dog.
Throw in 88-66 and you're about a 2.5:1 dog. Throw in the rest of the Ax and you're 2.33:1 or add in just suited connectors down to 76s or both to get about 2:1. You're probably right Locutus and check folding if you don't improve on the turn is right. There just aren't alot of hands in the range that you can reasonably expect villain to fold. |
