Re: The death of a card game
[ QUOTE ]
Have everyone involved from the night you caught him show up on the usual card night, then tell him you're evening things up and take his chips. If someone has a truck, take the table. If he bitches, tell him this was the agreed-upon alternative to kicking the sh!t out of him in his own house. Then cut him out of your circle. [/ QUOTE ] Winner! Non-destructive, only slightly illegal (theft and all) and that should hurt him some. |

Re: The death of a card game
What a twat. Who are these people, cheating in supposedly friendly home games for what, a couple of hundred dollars?

Re: The death of a card game
That's classic. The best part is the delayed action. I can just see some band geek on a computer working out the seed dropping assignments on a grid.

Re: The death of a card game
Whoever invents a reasonably-priced shuffling machine that actually works will become rich, or at least legendary.

Re: The death of a card game
i think him being caught by all of you and confronted right there in front of everyone and no physical action was taken by any of you was very mature. I say leave the punk where he is.. He'll regret the fact that he lost a bunch of good friends just to score a couple extra bux would be far more painful to him then gettin his ass beat or stuff taken away! Remember less is more.. If you react badly and result to destructive behavior he wont feel bad.. he'll be mad and wont regret what he did.. u act like that he'll just say to himself.. glad i took money off those punks.. do nothing and he'll second guess himeself and hate himself for a long time! Re: The death of a card game
Alrite, so as dumb as this sounds, it was the only thing we can think of that wont get us thrown in jail. Tell him we wanna have a talk to straighten things out. Meet at a resturant. Eat, then walk out and leave him with the check. Definetly doesn't come close to the amount of money he stole, but it was all we could think of.

Re: The death of a card game
Forget the money. Make sure to let everyone know he's a cheat who cheats his friends. The damage to his rep, while not directly satisfying to you, will cost him more than any restaurant check.

Re: The death of a card game
I'm sorry, why is he cutting the cards? There is nothing wrong with the SB shuffling, that's the way it usually works in most all games, but having him cut himself, there's the mistake.

Re: The death of a card game
How about the rest of you guys continuing with the home poker tradition at somebody else's house and not inviting him?
And make sure everybody knows that he's a cheat. |
