does anyone know aproximately how many seats in the WSOP are going to be won through internet satellites? anyone know the number for last year?

I'd say that at least 1,000 have been won so far because pokerstars alone has given away 660 already.

I read 3K somewhere a few hours ago - and like 90% were internet qualifyers.

the WSOP main-event last year had 2600 players.

and most certainly less than 90% were internet qualifiers.


I would guess around 50% but that's just a guess. I don't recall for certain.

Last year there were and estimated 1000 players (out of 2576) who won their seat online.

PokerStars.com alone expects to send at least 1000 this year, and estimates 1200. Combined with other sites, I would expect at least 3000 seats to be won online, and maybe as many as 4000.
