I think the best thing that both these new systems offer(PS3 and XBOX360) is the wireless connectivity. I know for me it was a pain to find good 3rd party hardwear for most things, and the fact that its built in is even better. Plus the PS3 playing burned DVDs is a plus.

Why did they change the controller? It's the only advantage the PS2 had over the Xbox.

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm an Xbox guy, so take that into consideration, but I HATE the PS2 controller. I think the Xbox controller S is, by far, the best first party controller.

[/ QUOTE ]
The Xbox-S is really good... I just wish they would have left the black and white buttons above the main buttons for a good 6-button layout instead of moving them as low as they are.

No. This is unconfirmed.

"Backwards compatibility - It is possible that the Xbox 360 can play regular Xbox games, but nothing has been said for sure."

"Along with a firm release date and price point, the other big question surrounding the 360 was backward compatibility. However, Microsoft would only say that the console will be "backward-compatible with top-selling Xbox games." This ambiguous wording could mean that Microsoft will select which titles will run on the next-gen console. However, it could also simply mean that Microsoft is merely being prudent in case some original Xbox titles don't work on the 360, as was the case with some older PlayStation 1 games and the PlayStation 2."

Microsoft would be retarded if they made 360 non backwards compatible.

Yeah, especially since they're still going to be coming out with new Xbox games up until the 360 is released. I don't think there's any chance they won't make it backwards compatible.

The new article in Time magazine has it as its cover story and says it will be backwards compatible and there is a picture of it playing Halo 2.
