This is not a hand of mine, just looking for some other opinions and thoughts.

Dealer: gsxr-10002002 posts the big blind of $2
Dealer: You have been dealt [8h 8c]
Dealer: Bijjy calls $2
Dealer: RedSpade raises to $12
Dealer: poker_dude25 folds
Dealer: speedf40 folds
Dealer: DRDEVIOUST folds
Dealer: AMATEUR1984 folds
Dealer: gsxr-10002002 calls $10
Dealer: RedSpade is feeling happy
Dealer: Bijjy calls $10
Dealer: The flop is [9c 8s Ts]
Dealer: gsxr-10002002 checks
Dealer: Bijjy checks
Dealer: RedSpade has 15 seconds left to act

What should Bijjy be thinking after this flop and what would be the play here?

You should put this in bisons converter. And you must tell conditions around the hand. Stack sizes at very least.

Can't get it to work in the converter. Its not that big of a deal, the argument was that in no way can you not call with a set of 8s when there is a flush and straight draw and you're only getting 1.8 to 1 on your money with this hand. 88 hand is arguing bad beat after the original rasier played 7 2 only to hit his open ended straight. Argument is that he played it horribly and he refuses to believe so.

Sure, it was played horribly whatever the circumstances. But horribly different:

If villain does stunts like raising 72o preflop often, I reraise him. Limp reraise should look strong enough to the sane players that you isolate him or take down the pot right there.

If EP raise from villain normally means AA-QQ or AK, then a call is probably good. It depends on stack size though, and on how probable villain is to get away from an overpair. There's effectivly no difference between 88 and 55 in that situation, and folding is possible.

On the flop, stack sizes are crucial again. If stacks are shallow and an overbet from villain very probably means made straight, one might find a fold. That's very unlikely of course. Raising is a must on this flop under most circumstances, as you would hate draws to complete and kill your overpair-action.

Hey bud, use the converter:here

To post your hands. This protects the user names of 2+2ers like me, who tend to make more than their fair share of donk plays.

Are you using hotmail / yahoo mail? This tends to screw up the converter big time.

The best way to do this is through outlook express (pop3: you can set up your yahoo to get sent to outlook), or to just spend the cash on poker tracker (as long as you're on party) and it'll keep it in the correct format for you.
