Re: \"Fold to River Bet\" stat in Pokertracker?
[ QUOTE ]
I don't want to sound like Ed Miller, but based on this thread and the poll, I think you all are folding too much on river. [/ QUOTE ] What is your stat? |

I hear these games are tigher now, so you may need to call even more than before. At the limits I am playing now, it is less than 30%. Perhaps you guys are better hand readers than me. |

Re: \"Fold to River Bet\" stat in Pokertracker?

mine was right around 50%, which I think most would say is too high. That said, I play very tight and super aggressive, so my hand was usually well established when the river hit. [/ QUOTE ] This make no sense to me at all. What do you mean by your hand being well established? Why would this enable you to fold so often? If you are playing so tight, I would think you should call a higher percentage of river bets. |

I hear these games are tigher now, so you may need to call even more than before. [/ QUOTE ] This confuses me. If your opponents are tighter, why would you want to call more on the river? I think in 3/6, I'm at 43%. I can't imagine calling more than I am. I think a lot of it comes from the pots being larger in the loose games I'm in, offering me the odds to chase a lot of hands. Then, if I don't make it on the river, T high isn't going to win...type of thing. |
