Down to 4 - what would you do?
Home tourney- Down to 4 players out of 21 left. Pays top 6. Top 4 paid aprox. 640/350/250/160. This is from memory so chip stacks are approx.
SB (7,000) BB HERO (9,000) UTG (16,000) Dealer (3,000) Blinds 300/600 SB posted 300 BB Hero posted 600 UTG raised to 1500 Dealer raised all-in to 3000 SB Folded Hero (AJos) ?? UTG is an experienced player and has been playing smart/aggressive- I felt he had Ax, KQ-KT or PP. He could have been on a blind steal, but I haven’t seen him actually see him do it and he would usually show minimum of Ace or 2 paints when raised preflop. His play that I’ve observed was that he would usually limp and then fire or re-raise on flop. I felt he would at a minimum call. Dealer been playing somewhat tight and not too agressive (not sure if he was comfortable w/short-handed play)- although he was short stack, put him A8+, PP, K-paint. I'm thinking either fold or raise to isolate. What would you do? Thanks, G$ |

Re: Down to 4 - what would you do?
i agree that your options are to push or fold. button knows that utg is pc'd, so he's not doing this with air. i think that the chances of one of them having a big hand are too great to play here. i'd muck and hope to see the button get knocked out. with AQ i'd push.
