KQ, I just hate this hand

So what do you guys do with KQ when facing a raise? We can consider 5-10 and 10-20 here, forget about 1-2. Against a typical opponent (does that exist?) who open raises up front I usually pitch it, but sometimes I find myself cold calling, and rarely 3-betting. It's just about the only hand I cold call with, and I never feel comfortable doing it.

Someone just tell me what to do please.

I usually 3bet KQ if Im going to play it. Gains the initiative, gets the blinds out. Usually any A K or Q flop will be good for you if you 3bet. If your opponent doesnt have an ace he will be hardpressed to play postflop if one flops after your three bet, and if you hit a K or Q you figure to have the best hand almost always.

how often does the raiser in front of you raise?

Where is he seated.

Work it out from there if you have a good chance to be ahead or not.

Yeah KQs I 3-bet average opponents. PT stats on people of course help. KQo I have started folding or 3 betting, and you're right, cold-calling sucks. The initiative you get for the 3-bet is worth the extra SB.
