Default win rate questions for 1/2

Sorry guys, I searched multiple times.

Can someone tell me what a decent &/or good win rate is for Party 1/2 6max? And how many hands you usually play an hour per table? Thank you.

You'll get close to 90 hands per hour per table.

A good winrate is anything above 2 BB/100. 4 BB/100 is probably the ceiling for a 100-200k sample size. The players are awful, but the rake is incredibly high, too.

You get close to 100 hands/hr if you sometimes stay when it's 3 and 4 handed. Obviously fewer if you only play 5 and 6 handed.

An excellent player who employs a little table selection would win between 4 and 5 BB/100 4 tabling, I'd guess.

Didn't we just have this thread? Specifically about 1/2?

I agree that an excellent player could probably top off at 4-5BB/100 4-tabling. But by the time you're that good you should have moved to 5/10 long ago.

Are kidding me? There are threads about win-rates every week. More than or equal to 2BB/100 is good. I know a lot of players qoute bigger win-rates for 1/2 but variance can skew the results a lot and when you play 1/2 you are probably not that great of a player yourself. At least I wasn't.

Coming from a current 1/2 6 max player, I recommend forgetting about your winrate at this level and focus on improving your game. Review old hands, read the forum here, and try to play your best every session. Move up in limits when you have the roll and feel comfortable beating the old game.

This second point is key, and is often overlooked. Party's 1/2 rake structure is brutal.

My PT shows that average rake is 3.97% of the pot at 1/2 and 2.43% at 5/10. If I filter for Went to Showdown&Win, this difference in rake cuts my BB/100 at 1/2 by 0.4!
And these are only the hands I won with that went to showdown.
