Hi Instinct:

There's another thing that Negraneau may have overlooked. It's the fact that this is not a tournament format and there are not escalating blinds.

In the tournament format, because of the increasing stakes, you'll need to make moves and be aware that your opponent will be doing the same. This is a skill that Negraneau is obviously very good at. But in this format it tends to go away.

Openheim is a very good player and in my opinion is the clear favorite here. I also suspect that Negraneau will be a dog to almost everyone he plays since he lets them pick the game and it is not a tournament format. (If I'm wrong and it is a tournament format, then that changes my outlook.)

Yes, you are correct. It was supposed to be 3,000- 6,000 limit, not blinds. but they changed the structure as someone stated to 2,000- 4,000.

I also found it strange that they had the game in the back of the room, where spectators would be wisked away. Of course that would be normal in any high stakes game, but I thought Danny/ Wynn was using this as a way to promote the room.

How can he be the best if he doesn't play 4-8k? I don't understand? I was told on here that you can only be the best if you play the highest limit. So i guess he's not the best.

I think he would play 4-8 if they only played shorted handed limit holdem (and does play in the big game occasionally). So though your level of sarcasm is noted it's not really appropriate/accurate.

smooth - you and vince have made it very clear that you are the best. please let us be now. i have been convinced that all of the big game players are only good because of the money they have behind them. they dodge the 15/30 game because they couldn't beat it with all of you better pros who have to grind out your living.
