If you are making 300/hr you are a professional imo. As long as you logged enough hours to know thats real and not imagination. I don't think it has to be your only source of income. But the major source of income.

Default Hmmm....

He's made more money playing poker than most of us will ever imagine.

He plays full time.

Noobs like us on message boards talk about him... not the other way around.

Sure he is.

Default Of course he is

I think being sponsored by a pojer site and being freerolled for big tournaments would almost automatically make you a pro.

I Greg had gone through qualifying for the US Open or British Open, then somehow beat all the pros and won the biggest golf tournament of the year. Then he quit his job and was now sponsored by Titleist to play on the PGA but hadn't won annthing else would he be a professional golfer? Is Ben Curtis a professional golfer?

Does it matter?

Not really, but he gets a lot of nice benefits being sponsored.

Are you jealous?

Not really, well maybe a little.

Do you want to win the WSOP so you too can be considered a Professional Poker Player...by some?

Who doesn't consider him a pro anyway? And no I would want to win the the WSOP for many other reasons mostly money.

Making any amount of money doing X makes you a professional X. We don't decide whether Raymer's a pro, he does. We decide whether he's a celebrity or not. I think these two words get confused with each other in this forum by certain morons [the guy who started this thread].

There are other geniuses like The Alex that believe that if player "Alex" makes $50 one time in a poker game that he is considered a professional. It doesn't matter if the $50 that Player "Alex" made in this session was the only winning session that he had he in his entire life.
According to The Alex, if he wants to call himself a professional poker player then more power to him. So according to "The Genius", The Alex, there is such a thing as a "losing professional poker player". A losing professional poker player, kind of has a ring to it doesn't it. I guess that's how The Alex handles things on the Poker Forum he moderates. He calls everbody a professional. Yeah, we should all run up there and listen to all of the professional poker players that frequent his forum. That should be fun.
