Re: Anything in particular I am doing wrong in 30/60?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I also would like to mention that the party 30/60 is SIGNIFICANTLY harder than the 15/30. 1bb/100 winners at the 15/30 would be breakeven at best in the 30 imo. [/ QUOTE ] My stats beg to differ. 15-30: BB/100 - 0.55 Total Hands - 30,246 30-60: BB/100 - 18.68 Total Hands - 135 I may just be running well though. [/ QUOTE ] THIS GAME'S EASY!! |

Re: Anything in particular I am doing wrong in 30/60?
I had a $12k downstreak in my first session here. Then a $8k up streak yesterday. The variance here is insane, if people are having legit 400bb downstreaks in 15/30 we are going to see somee v. big downstreaks here.
Which does make me happy, i'm semi numb to the variance and this kinda of variance should clear out a lot of the 'pros'. |

Re: Anything in particular I am doing wrong in 30/60?
I can't see many fish there, which only means one thing: I'm the fish and I'm better off watching than playing.
Edited: How do you assess your edge in these games?. |

Re: Anything in particular I am doing wrong in 30/60?
I sat down at a 6-handed game yesterday and it was far from a shark garden.
I think the best way to assess your chances is by seeing how often people make deviations from the correct play, and how big these mistakes are. At the table I was sat at, there were two over-loose and over-aggressive players, who had a penchant for cold calling stuff like K7s or limping UTG. There was one decent but over-tight player on my left, who was in danger of being blinded away in the long run. There were also two sharks who were clearly superior players. Overall, I fancied my chances in the long run. However, it did take some snooping around to find a nice looking table, and I would agree that the general standard of play is very tough. |

Re: Anything in particular I am doing wrong in 30/60?
Hand 1: I am comfortable with pumping the pot once on the river. Hands you are afraid of are AA,KK,QQ. Hands that might have been played this way PF include AK,AQ,(AJ),JJ,TT, and others by an insano.
Hand 2: You played it right. It would be very reasonable for villian to guess that the board hasn't helped you and to either try to bluff you out or bet his PP. Hand 3: I'm considering betting the river, but I tend not to. This would only likely trap AK, and would be feeding a lot of hands that are afraid to bet (ie PPs that beat yours). CSC |
