Is this a push any two spot?
Party 30+3
Seat 3: StewieGrffn ( $1440 ) Seat 5: dannywow40 ( $617 ) Seat 6: jak1971 ( $4223 ) Seat 7: nott0m ( $1720 ) Trny:12170450 Level:5 Blinds(100/200) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to nott0m [ 6s 2d ] dannywow40 folds. jak1971 folds. BB seems typical, not too loose. |

Re: Is this a push any two spot?
Yes, and you should continue pushing from the SB here as long as you have stwygriffin covered (or are at least close to him in chips). The correct play from his spot is to not risk his stack until the super short stack dannywow goes out, so as long as he is a good player, you should continue to push with any two from this spot (as long as it folds to you, you have him covered, and the shortstack is still alive and significantly shorter than he is).
BTW - If jak1971 knows how to play, he should be doing the same thing to you, and you should be folding to him just as stewie should be folding to you. |

Re: Is this a push any two spot?
Probably. You have BB covered, so on the bubble, with Danny so shortstacked, you can count on a fold the vast majority of times. However, if you have been doing a lot of stealing already and your fold equity is low, this is probably a good time to let her have one, so that she'll think you at least have some standards.

Would you be raising here to about half his stack or just pushing all-in ?

Re: Is this a push any two spot?
I think this is borderline with shorty behind you. You still have > 8BB -- plenty of time (assuming the blinds aren't going up within 2-3 hands).
I would decide based on how many opportunties I've been getting. If not many, I push -- otherwise, I'll wait for a better spot. |

I think this is a nice time for an advertising fold. Your hand is just so bad.

I think this is a nice time for an advertising fold. Your hand is just so bad. [/ QUOTE ] I agree that folding for advertising value is not necessarily bad. I am sometimes guilty of getting into a mindset of being more inclined to push this hand than to push something like J8s, just because I know that it is +EV, and a certain contrariness kicks in. "Look ma, I'm pushing total junk! Take that!" This isn't so great, especially if it gives you a reputation that stays with you in the higher buy-in games. eastbay |

[/ QUOTE ] Kamikaze tactic, especially if he/she knows what youre doing. You risk 1400 to gain 200 with this crap hand. |
