Not sure how I overlooked this. Checking the turn is certainly the right play against opponent's range of hands. I stand by my comments granted Hero DOES bet, but I agree with the turn check for all the reasons you stated.

I don't like betting that flop. It hits too many hands.

Since you did, you need to check behind on the turn, now that you've picked up a hand and opponent may have picked up a flush.

I like checking behind on the turn. The flush is going to be a scare card for him if he doesn't have it, and hes obviously going to call if he does. So if you check behind, I can see villain putting you on a flop bluff or semibluff, and if you dont fill up, you dont have that much money in so you can take that into account.... it will also be harder for him to put you on a boat this way
