Default Blackjack basic strategy question

If I am dealt A6 against a dealer's 10 up; I hit and got another A. Now I have AA6; do I treat this as hard 18 or soft A7? And do I continue to play it using basic strategy?
Thanks.

AA6 is a soft 18, against a dealer 10 you would still hit.

Your hand could be 8 or 18, so it's a soft hand. Hit A7 against T.
