QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
Both players in this hand with me will play virtually anything (one is nearly 60% VPIP) and both will raise nearly anything. I've seen one raise with very small suited aces. I've been taking their money consistently for ~130 hands or so.
PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Final Pot: 7.20 BB If I had to guess I'd say I backed off WAY too soon. Anything else I should have done? Flush isn't what killed me either... Viper GTS |

Cap the flop, lead the turn. If these guys will raise with anything then you've usually got them beat. You could prolly raise preflop too if you want to do a sort of preemptive isolation.

Re: QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
You should have capped the flop. On the turn, when BB checks you should bet, call if you get raised. There's nothing you can do about being sucked out on the river, so don't even worry about stuff like that. If you played correctly until the river and then lose to a bad card, that's life.

Re: QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
If you wanna play this hand, raise preflop. I'd cap the flop for value and bet the turn followed by a check on the river.

Re: QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
Either raise this or fold this PF. Do not open limp in MP2 (you should virtually NEVER do this). Cap the flop and lead the turn. I may be inclined to start calling down if raised. A very unfortunate river card.

Oh, I didn't even notice your position. Fold pre-flop.

Re: QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
Given both are such prolific raisers was it bad to not expect to get checked back to after the turn?
Don't know what I was thinking not capping the flop, although I'm taking their money they've still put me in a few situations I wasn't sure of (this being one of them). Probably a result of that having seen them cap so many betting rounds + fearing a set. Viper GTS |

Re: QJo two pair on flop...Downhill from there
I'd only raise if I felt i could get the hand heads up. Hard to do at .25/.50, even at pokerstars which has the tightest games for micro. There's no point in raising if it's going to be three or four handed anyways, and if button reraises and you have to play it heads up against a reraise, I'd probably chuck it pre-flop. At 1/2, I'd raise here, but not at these limits.
