Default I have finally mastered the party 11\'s SNG (almost no theory)

By no means a serious post, but just a misadventure that I had the other night while multitabling on Party 10 +1 SNG's. I thought I had signed up for a table, but in the process of signing up for four others, I kind of lost track.

So when the screen doesn't pop up after a minute or so, I just forget about it. After ten minutes, I remember and check to see what happened. I don't see myself sitting at the table so I just leave it alone. After a half an hour, up pops a notice saying that I just finished 3rd in a SNG and would I like the tourny e-mailed to me. Hell yeah, I want to know how I can finish third with out ever playing a hand.

So the tourny goes like this. I post my blinds and then it automatically folds me. You'd think people might notice this ultra-rock sitting in the corner, but no one chats about it. Slowly getting blinded away, my chip stack decreases while others find their way to bust out. Now down to five, level 4, i'm down to a few hundred while the other four have ~1500-2000 each. Sure enough another busts and I'm on the bubble. Admittedly, my passive bubble play doesn't help me much as I continue to fold down to ~150 or so. I finally take a stand with 49o, and trounce the greedy bastards with my trip fours. A few hands later, another idiot busts out and I'm in the money. A few hands later, I take my worst beat of the day when my ATo fails to hold up againt the dominated JTo and I'm out in 3rd. Oh well, I figured I had played as well as I could.

Remeber kids, keep on folding, folding away that shiney new twenty dollar bill that is.

Playing poker online- 11 dollars
Getting a pizza while playing online- 15 dollars
Finishing 3rd and never playing a hand- Priceless

Similar thing happened to me--was in the middle of playing four $11+1s last year and something came up and I had to leave the house. They were all on around level 2, and I had 800-900 chips at each table. When I got back I had finished 3rd in three out of the four tables!

I guess they *are* getting tougher. It used to be that if you'd just post and fold you'd get three seconds. Booooooo.

Funny stuff. You should take up 8-tabling.
