Default Leg up?

What does it mean when a player has a leg up?

I saw this in another post about kill pots.

Default Re: Leg up?

In a hold'em kill game, when a player wins a pot he gets a button that often says "leg up" or possibly "no kill" on it. This means that if he wins another pot the kill will go into effect and he'll turn the button over to the side that says "kill" and post the kill.

Other games using a kill have other criteria. For example, Omaha/8 doesn't usually have a "leg up" since the criteria is that a scoop of the pot brings the kill into effect.

There's more about kill pots in the FAQ.
