Default Being underbankrolled (no/low content)

I was dicking around on a fishy site (I have about 4k on the site, half of my bankroll) and I saw just about the best 50/100 game I have ever seen. It had reported a 71% players/flop and after watching I realize it played worse than the party .5/1 (no kidding...4 players to the river with crap).

Not gonna bore you with bad beat stories, but today I have half the bankroll I did yesterday, *sigh*. Bad part is that I knew that I don't NEARLY have the bankroll for the game, but it was so damn juicy I was slobering all over my keyboard.

Long story short: take shots at big games, but not games where you have 80BB of which you are only going to play with 40 of

I think I will be in the morning...hasn't really set in yet.

A gem:

I raise on button with: Qd, 10h
after 3 very loose players.

SB 3-bets, all call.

Flop (Board: 10d, 4s, 3c):
checked to me, I bet, sb c/r's, 1 caller.

Turn (Board: 10d, 4s, 3c, 3d):

SB bets out, 1 fold, I call

River (Board: 10d, 4s, 3c, 3d, 6s):

bet/call

villian shows: 5d, 7d (straight to the Seven)

Wow. I don't know what I'd do. I feel horrible about losing the IGMPAY deposit bonus on StarLuck and down 40 of my own dollars. And I'm still only half the way to clear the WR.

To lose half my bankroll...

I feel for you man, I hope you can make it up. Good luck.

I'd have punched out the monitor at that point. Or gone out to find a little guy to pick a fight with...

Default Sorry Yobz

You were there to lag it up for me during my failed ADHOC so I'm here to offer you my sympathies now. Losing all that dough sucks dude but, as bad a decision as it was to take that shot (not being critical here just stating a fact), at least you did it in a game you knew you can beat. Bad luck just gets you at the worst times every now and then. I had trouble getting out of .5-1 world for a while because I'd play 2/4 and 3/6 under the rationalization that I've always beat them in casinos and I'd take a few laughable beats then realize that I blew 100 BBs for my normal game. Best of luck to you rebuilding, I'm sure you'll continue to play your regular stakes profitably and make the money back in no time.

Hang in there,
Matt

I really appreciate everyones support, it's a crappy situation but I'll struggle back up hopefully. I'll be back on my feet in no time.

Btw, I've gotten a bunch of PMs about what site the game was at. I told the first like 3 or 4 people then got tired and didn't want to make it a TAGfest anyway, so I'm being an ass and not telling anyone else, please do not PM me.
