River: (15.50 BB) Tc (3 players)

Final Pot: 18.50 BB

Thoughts?

Solid game with no players playing out of line. Blind is no data and UTG 31/10/3

Flop i gave UTG AQ and blind on a draw. Turn no cap, thinking a set...

Results below:
SB has 6h 7s (two pair, sevens and sixes).
UTG has Qd Td (two pair, queens and tens).
Hero has Jd Qs (two pair, queens and jacks).
Outcome: Hero wins 18.50 BB.

Looks good to me - I put someone on 67 before seeing the results and possibly trips given the turn action.

Before getting to the results, I was thinking you should raise the river. SB might have a set given the turn action, but once he checks the river, I'm pretty sure he has a worse 2-pair. Who the hell is going to go for a river checkraise after a check/3-betting on the turn? The only reasonable hand UTG can have that beats you is A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. He certainly would have capped a set on the turn. UTG will almost certainly pay you off for 1 bet closing the action given the pot size, and sb may even call 2-cold with his cheeseball 2 pair fearing a fancy raise with a hand he beats trying push him out.

Thanks for the replies.

Normally, I would have capped the turn, and bet out. I'm getting BRUTALLY beat down this month and last month by new magicians pullng rabbits out of their hats. Its so bad I even tried playing on other sites only to get it worse!

One of the hardest things, is continuing to bet in tricky situations when you've been running bad. There's a fine line between frustrated aggression and smart betting...

I think you played it fine.

With no one playing way out of line.

Capping the turn with top 2 is a losing play in my book to a check/3 bet.

Yeah, this is the sort of logic that people tend to miss while playing online. Very hard to be behind after the SB checks.
