Default Turn action

Hero is SB with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Preflop: 6 folds, CO limps, button folds, Hero completes, BB raises, CO and Hero both call

Raise, call or fold preflop? As soon as I called, I think I lost the initiative in the hand. The aggressive BB put me off raising, but I guess that just makes me a wimp.

Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players, 6SB)

Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks

I get a piece of the flop, but outsmart myself by checking with the intention of raising a bet from BB. Should I have just bet out here?

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 3BB)

BB bets, CO Raises , Hero 3 bets, BB folds, CO folds.

I would normally fold when its two back to me, but it was checked through on the flop and I'd seen CO fold a turn raise to a 3-bet a couple of hands ago.

Presumably I shouldn't make a habit of this though??

Your play has no logic. Your relying on folding equity from someone who just raised.

If you have enough guts to put 3BB in the pot on the turn with this hand, why didn't you have the guts to just bet the flop? Maybe SB went for a check-raise on the flop but failed, and has a monster holding?

So many possible scnearios that makes putting 3BB into a small pot a very very bad idea.

Also, where in Sydney are you from?

You're right, this hand was dumb from start to finish. Knowing that I should have bet the flop, I went and outdid myself with an even bigger mistake on the turn.

I just moved from Neutral Bay to Pyrmont.

Limp preflop. Bet the flop. Fold the turn.

Yes, I am betting this flop. Just complete PF, I think.
