Default Just bet the damn flop?

There was a plan here somewhere, but I can't for the life of me articulate it. I probably misplayed every street.

Party Poker 1/2 (10 handed)

BB has been tricky and somewhat aggressive. Has shown a tendency to defend blinds

The only thing I noted about CO was that they raised the turn and folded to a 3-bet a couple of hands ago, but not been at the table long enough to draw any conclusions about that.

Hero is SB with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Preflop: 6 folds, CO limps, button folds, Hero completes, BB raises, CO and Hero both call

Raise, call or fold preflop? As soon as I called, I think I lost the initiative in the hand. The aggressive BB put me off raising, but I guess that just makes me a wimp.

Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players, 6SB)

Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks

I get a piece of the flop, but outsmart myself by checking with the intention of raising a bet from BB. Should I have just bet out here?

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players, 3BB)

BB bets, CO Raises , Hero....???

Well and truly lost control now...

trying to fold out someone with a check/raise? free card on the turn? i dunno, with 3 people i dont think thats a good idea. however BB did raise preflop, so maybe it makes sense to think he'll raise this. i guess he has QQ or something maybe?

I was planning to raise a bet from the BB. Actually, don't know what my plan was for this hand

A check/raise isn't going to protect your hand and you're OOP. I'd bet and hope BB raises to knock the other player out. Also, there's only 3 people in the pot, so a bet won't be bad. Fold when it's 2 back to you on the turn.

I know it sucks, but do we have to fold when it's 2 back to us on the turn? we still have top pair on a drawless board (well runner runner [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] maybe....). It sucks sucks sucks but could we call this?

Limp preflop. Bet the flop. Fold the turn.

I figured I was ahead and wanted to raise for value. As I said above, I didn't really have a clearly thought out strategy for the hand which I am going to have to work on to get better at this game.

Go Twins! Is Sydneysider Grant Balfour still on the club?

No offense, but if you're unclear of what to do in a simple situation like this, I think your money is in deep trouble.
