Shrug. A9s. [/ QUOTE ] Interesting. I guess I had a hard time buying that he had a higher flush because of how he bet the flop while out of position. |

Hero raises - I have two cards. BB 3-bets - I have two bigger cards. Hero calls - I either have two bigger cards or you caught me. Flop: (6.50 SB) 7, K, 3 (2 players) BB bets - let's see what you got. Hero raises - I got a piece BB 3-bets - I got a bigger piece. Hero caps - I'm not sure I believe that you have a big piece but we will soon find out. Turn: (7.25 BB) 2 (2 players) BB checks - Ha! This will screw with him. Hero bets - I knew you didn't have anything. BB raises - I do have at least a K or flush. Hero 3-bets - I have a flush or a set. BB caps, Hero calls. - Me too. River: (15.25 BB) 5 (2 players) BB bets - I still like my hand. Hero calls - I think you might really have a bigger flush. I don't know for sure, but it's either that or a set and I don't want to get re-raised. call me chicken but I think he has it. [/ QUOTE ] Hilarious frickin response - and a surprisingly accurate analysis of the hand. |

A different line and results...
So I was talking through this hand last night and the thought of calling the turn c/r and raising any safe river card came up. This seems like a reasonable line as it loses me the same when I'm drawing dead and gets me two bets on the river where I have higher equity when I'm ahead. This is running on the assumption that he may not cap when behind on the turn but will always cap when ahead and that he leads the river with any hand he c/r'd the turn with (both valid assumptions I think). It also assumes a very tight range of hands:
a) a set (most likely KK or 77) b) AhKx c) a bigger flush If he can have a wider range of hands here 3 betting the turn may be better. Results were that he had JhTh. |
