Default Yet another mass grave found in Iraq...

...with the bullet riddled remains of an estimated 200,000 men, women and children. And some people still think Iraq would be better off if we left Saddam in power?

I read that all 200,000 of them were really space alliens who were buried before Saddam came to power. But I'm not going to cite a source either, so just take my word on it.

Please cite these type of statements!

If you think that Iraq is better off today, I suggest that you are likely wrong. Keep up with the news from Iraq at Informed COmment

If you believe that Iraq will be better off in the future. It cant get much worse, can it? 8 years of bloody war with Iran, 12 years of crippling economic sanctions, 2 years of military rule by a foreign military, low grade radiation from spent ammo, and of course 30 years of rule by a sadistic dictator.

Of course a full scale civil war, with Turkish Kurds revolting, Arab countries (Jordan, Syria, etc) fighting with the Sunnis, Iran supporting the Shia, would be much worse. With the GI's in the middle of this donnybrook. Here is one viewpoint: The quagmire

Would make for good TV anyway!

What I want to know is:

WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG TO GO AFTER THE BORDER TO SYRIA?

It IS pretty friggin obvious that it was a major problem spot.

I had a relative over there.... pisses me off a bit...

Huh?

Are you questioning what I wrote or the military tactics? Feel free to question me, but VulturesRow will be up in arms (or a fighter jet) if you dare question the military tactics. The Brass knows best and can do no wrong.
