I usually make the money when I play in a MTT, but I don't seem to make many final tables, can you help me?

For the last year and a half or so, I've been playing tournament Hold Em' on Poker Stars. Initially, I played recreationally, not taking the game very seriously, and have sense become very much committed.
I am currently working on my game, developing strategy and such, playing in many 5-10 dollar, 9 or 18 person Sit n' Go's, and have been doing very well as far as small stakes are concerned.
