Default First Post, What went wrong?

I'm trying to make the switch from limit to NL, and I've been really starting to get frustrated with NL due to many hands such as this one. Is there anything I could have done differently, except maybe reraise more preflop?
Sorry this was on Bodog and I don't know how to convert this yet.
It's 10 handed, .25/.50 NL table

Hero is BB with $ 69.90
Button has $ 145.95
Villian is in CO with $ 59.19

Dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Folds around to villian in CO, villian limps for .50
Button raises to 2.00
Hero reraises to 4.50
CO calls, button calls

Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero bets $10, villian calls $10, button folds

Turn is A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero bets $30, villian calls $30
This gets me a little worried, but my read on the table is that most of these guys are calling stations with weak calls and longshot draws, so i think my top 2 are good.

River is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Seems like a blank to me, so I go ahead and put him all in for his last $ 14.19, and insta-calls.

Results in white below:
Hero shows A clubs K clubs for 2 pair, Aces and Kings
Villian shows Q spades 9 spades for flush, Ace high.

I duno how good the players on bodog could be, but this just looks like a bad beat.

I'd say bet more on the turn but he'd call anyway or could have the broadway straight via QT

If you're going to re-raise preflop, you should re-raise more, but that is so that when he folds on the flop you will have made more of his money, not so that a chasing fish won't suck out on you. If the guy had called all-in on the flop and hit running perfect would you also be asking how you could have played it better? He chased, he hit, that sucks. However. I think you do point out something that you could have done better. You say

You should plan your betting for the hand such that you can get it all in on the turn. If you had simply bet the full pot on the flop (a good idea with this draw heavy board anyways) then there would be a few more dollars in the pot and a few less in your stack and you could push the turn without overbetting. You really need to plan these things out, while thinking about stack sizes, from the get-go.

I think it was just a bad beat. I woulda put him on a heart draw. Maybe straight draw. River would have looked like a blank to me also.

The river is fine.

I don't know about the rest though, sorry.
