Makes more business sense than banning people. Multi just did one of these at 20x. The regular customers who would play the hands anyway are not penalized and the site doesn't have -EV whoring.

Another way they could accomplish this is to change to a Stars/UB type of bonus system, where you can clear at below the $2-4 level but it takes long enough to make it unworthwhile to whore it at those levels. Or go to a Bodog/Pacific type which is tied to monies wagered in raked hands.

Any of these would solve the -EV whoring problems without the negative feedback generated by closing accounts. The problem with implementing anything other than higher play through requirements is that Empire is tied to Party's software so counting anything other than raked hands is probably not doable.
