Looks great. However, if I were you I would re-pot it preflop (the first time) because you raise too much already. The second opportunity is definitely a call w/ these stacks.

Not that it matters, but most opponents would look at you moving in after the 2nd raise as a steal.

i think most opponents would put me on AA KK if i did that

I would.

However, I've met some players who view this as an opportunity to move in with any pair. I've seen 44, 88, 99.

Baffles me, but it only works once!

Calling the BB's raise is ok IMO if you think that's the only way you're going to get his stack if he indeed holds KK. However, after UGT+2 calls BB's all in, I think you're behind. Unless UTG+2 is a bad player, his call is saying "I can beat an over pair".

I also like pushing preflop after BB's raise. With the action proceeding your decision, if you had AK or a midpair you would be led to believe that you at least have UTG+2 beat. You might as well try to pick up the pot now with what may be the best hand.
If I was BB or UTG+2 that would be my read on you.

Either way, I don't think BB is folding after your push preflop. UTG+2 will probably fold, but you'll most likely only get action from him postflop if you're beat.

Hi AJo,

I don't get it. Isn't this almost the best possible result after you smooth-called once? Your call puts 2400 in there, and BB is going to call 2200 more most of the time anyway, right? Well, if he does, UTG+2 will be getting an ok price on his whatever, and you won't mind so much if he folds. Make it 2400 more pre-flop or push, whichever is more likely to trap the opener.

Based on what he had and did, of course, UTG +2 looks like the type of guy who'd call about 1500 more if the other guy did; this is not just results oriented thinking, either--there are fish all over who play like this.

If you had a really snug image, then of course your re-raise would lose the regular unless he had QQ/KK/AK; Diablo says you raise too much, so I bet your image is right to re-pop.

Whatever; tough beat anyway (to KK; T7s got most of the money in about even with you).
